NATIVE CINEMA SHOWCASE
In partnership with the National Museum of the American Indian, the 18th annual NCS kicks off an almost week-long film festival highlighting the contributions of Native films and filmmakers.
Free and open to the public.

Friday August 17th


BEST OF SHOW CEREMONY AND LUNCHEON
11:30am-2:00pm.
This exclusive event brings together the top award-winning artists and the Indian Market community to celebrate this year's best work. The event begins with the awards announcement presentation followed by a celebratory luncheon for the Best of Show and Best of Classification winners. Award sponsors attend as well as those who want first look at all the award-winning pieces.
Ticketed event: Tickets will go on sale in May.

SNEAK PREVIEW OF AWARD-WINNING ART
2:00pm-4:00pm.
The Sneak Preview allows visitors the opportunity to view phenomenal award-winning artworks before the market opens on Saturday morning, and an opportunity to meet SWAIA 'Best of Show' artists in an exclusive setting.
Ticketed event: Tickets will go on sale in May, or you may purchase at the door.

GENERAL PREVIEW OF AWARD-WINNING ART
6:00pm-8:30pm.
Following the Sneak Preview, the public will have the opportunity to preview award-winning art at a reduced ticket price. The General Preview is your chance to view all the best of the show award-winning artworks before the weekend market begins.

Saturday August 18th


97TH ANNUAL SANTA FE INDIAN MARKET ON THE PLAZA!
7:00am-5:00pm.
The 97th Santa Fe Indian Market transforms the City of Santa Fe, with nearly 1,000 of the continent's finest Native American artists showing their work in booths filling the Santa Fe Plaza and surrounding streets. The Indian Market is the largest and most prestigious Native American fine art show in the world.
Free and open to the public.

MARKET STAGES MUSIC & DANCE PERFORMANCES
9:00am-4:00pm.
The Plaza stage and Santa Fe Community Convention Center are the settings for a number of exciting events and programs. Music and performing arts fill the stages for visitors to augment their Indian Market experience.

LIVE AUCTION AND GALA
6:00pm.
One of the most glamorous and popular events of the Santa Fe Indian Market is the Live Auction Gala and Reception. Hosted by La Fonda, this fundraiser for the Southwestern Association of Indian Arts (SWAIA), the organization that produces the Indian Market, begins with a silent auction and cocktail reception at the hotel's La Terraza. The evening culminates with the exciting Live Auction Gala and dinner in the Lumpkins Ballroom.
Ticketed event: Tickets will go on sale in May. Tables will also be available.

NATIVE CINEMA SHOWCASE FAMILY NIGHT: "COCO"
8:00 - 10:30pm
In partnership with the National Museum of the American Indian, the 18th annual Native Cinema Showcase Family Night features the 2017 Disney hit "Coco." Families are encouraged to bring chairs/blankets and arrive in time to secure a spot on the lawn. Food available for purchase from a variety of local food trucks. The movie will begin at sunset.
Screening is free and open to the public.

Sunday August 19th

NATIVE AMERICAN CLOTHING CONTEST

Among the many cherished traditions at the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Native American Clothing Contest is one of the most beloved and anticipated events. The contest includes categories for traditional and contemporary Native fashions; featuring children and adult participants with award prizes in a variety of categories.
