Beverly (Bear King) Moran

  • Standing Rock Sioux Tribe of North and South Dakota
  • Beadwork / Quillwork

Inspired by the geometric beadwork of the Northern Plains tribes, I create dramatic traditional buckskin dresses and horse regalia by combining the traditions of the past with modern materials. As a Hunkpapa Lakota woman it is important to me to continue to create our dresses and also create beaded portraits of our dresses. I am also devoted to renewing the connection and relationship with the Horse Nation and the revitalization of designing, creating and beading horse regalia.
