I, Joe R Calabaza is a 4th generation artist from the Santo Domingo Pueblo, location in North Central New Mexico. Joe's art forms include super-fine Heishi, mosaic inlay and overlay. My most recent art form includes silver/metal work with sterling silver, copper, brass and sterling silver Tufa cast artist, All of my jewelry is handmade, and unique. I have participated with the SWAIA organization for more than two decades, with initial exposure through my late parents, Joe F. And Mary Ann Calabaza. As a fourth generation jeweler, I have learned this art from my late Great, Great Grandfather Patricio Calabaza. I am carrying on our family legacy, alongside my wife and children.
