A second generation Hopi Jeweler. I learned this art from my mother Cheryl Marie Yestewa. I’m one of nine children and the only one so far carrying on the tradition of hand bead rolling and jewelry making. I use the traditional method of hand shaping, cutting, drilling and polishing all my beads from rough natural turquoise, stone materials and shell. I use high grade natural turquoise for most of my beads. I hand fabricate, solder all my cones, hooks, chains and metal beads and findings from sheet or ingot sterling silver or gold. Turquoise is one of my favorite stones, It gives me a sense of purpose and happiness to create each piece of jewelry. Im very fortunate to have learned from one of the best native bead maker’s. I strive to keep my art genuine and have the natural beauty of the stone shine though each piece I create.
