MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Carved cottonwood root using various hand knives. A Dremel tool is used to create texture with diamond and carbide bits. The fines lines are created with a hand burner. Linseed oil is used to stain the cottonwood root which hydrates and preserves. Acrylic paints are used to paint the Katsina dolls.
