Rena Begay

MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Award winning Navajo weaver Rena Begay has been creating her rugs for over 60 years. She uses both natural and commercial-dyed wool in her rugs. Rena weaves on a traditional upright loom, which she and her husband and family members help prepare for each rug. She lives and works from her traditional hogan on her ancestral land near Pinon AZ.
