Beaded Bracelet

TRIBAL AFFILIATION:

BOOTH NUMBER:

MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
For most jewelry pieces, I bead around a cabochon and apply edge stitching when I am sewing buckskin to the back. When making a bracelet, I use a loom and insert a metal bracelet form and attach buckskin with edge stitching to finish. I use power tools, exacto knives and sanders to carve people or animals out of Alabaster and to cut and sand the wooden bases. I apply oil finish to the carvings and also to the bases. I then add texture and details by scraping or using a drill bit to carve on the surface of the stone leaving it white. I then attach the sculpture to the base with glue.
