MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
I create photographs of the landscape with a 4x5 large format camera. I choose places that are of significance in Wabanaki culture and history, and rooted in the Passamaquoddy language. I print these photographs traditionally in the darkroom. The black and white negatives are printed with a traditional silver gelatin process onto paper. I also print in this same silver process onto ash strip woven mats that I have created from brown ash strips. I also create cyanotypes with red fabric, a different analog photographic printing process.
