MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Hopi overlay jewelry is when the designed part of the silver is soldered on to a bottom layer of silver where it got it's name "overlay". I put little tooling marks within the design to keep the black oxidation inside and look uniform. Last it's formed into the share of whatever the piece is going to be. My deigns are bold and have meaning to their designs. My ornaments are all hand-made from soft pine and cottonwood. I paint free hand on each one I make. I finish them with leather, string, commercial feathers, and meaning cards with each piece.
