MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE: Although fluent in multiple beading techniques, Bazille's beadwork focuses primarily on paaxge or diagonal bead weaving, a style traditional to the Ho-Chunk people. This process is one in which multiple waxed strings are used to pick up individual glass seedbeads, then the maker interweaves the threads with the beads to create a vertical weaving. Finally, the ends of the strings are braided and adorned with hardware to make the long woven pieces wearable.
