MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
The materials used are traditional Acoma clay, gourds and wooden tools used for scraping the pottery. Rainwater, wild spinach, and Hematite are used for black paint. Pottery is all hand made with traditional clay. Painting is done with yucca brushes. Firing is done outdoors and kiln. The designs are are unique and passed down from family.
