MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
the materials used for making my traditional frames are : Aspen logs cow rawhide it is a long process in which the logs have to cure for the weight of drums to be light weight, then hollowed out using modern tools . wrapped with a cow, deer, elk, buffalo rawhide. contemporary style frame: 1/4 " plyboard 2" x 2" wood soaking of plywood to bend around a frame to create a shell /frame wrapped with cow hide or bull hide for bass.
