By the Light of the Fireflies We See Tomorrow
BOOTH NUMBER:
LIN W 719
MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
These works are images I capture and then produce using various mediums, from Oil on Linen to Mixed Media, pastel, pencil, conte, and charcoal on Stonehenge Paper. My jewelry is inspired by my sculptures; each sterling silver piece is elegantly handcrafted with inspiration from nature. I use real flowers, sticks, leaves, and other beautiful organic materials. Every piece is a unique cast, using the lost wax process, making all the jewelry a one-of-a-kind wearable artwork. I cast all the work in my studio. Each is a unique cast bronze, using the lost wax process. The work has a hot patina applied and finished with an archival wax. The cedar is kiln-dried and debarked by hand. Organic works it cast directly from nature and finished in the same way with hot patina and wax.
