MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Yá’át’ééh Janet M Yazzie yinishyé. Born and raised on the Navajo Reservation, from Lower Greasewood Az. I’m Kinłichii’nii (RedHouse) and Ma’ii deeshgiizhnii (Coyotepass). I’m a local resident of Flagstaff Arizona for 26 years. My Art work is Contemporary Navajo traditional Art, Local sceneries of my Navajo Nation, Arizona Wildlife and painting what I love to see from a female Artist perspective. I’ve been doing Art most of my life but felt I needed to earn my title as an Navajo Woman Artist. I’m finally doing my Art full time, it’s been 1 year and 5 months. Like anything in your life, I think it’s important to work and earn something you love. Through my work and colors I hope to inspire others to continue to do what they love.
