MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
I start with old U.S. coins and a hand-carved tufa mold. The coins are melted down into an ingot and hand-wrought. From the prepared ingot I carefully stamp, file, and finish the metalwork by hand. Much of his work is finished with hand-cut stones including turquoise, spiny oyster, sugilite, Acoma jet, and coral.
