MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
My work is done with traditional clay harvested straight from the earth. I clean the clay impurities until clay is dry and fine for mixing. I mix the clay until it reaches its desired consistency for molding; once molding process begins, I roll out the piece and being carving process. Once carved, it is then dried. Once piece is dry, I begin the firing process, which is by kiln. They are then, pitched with pine sap to achieve a sealant or sealing process. Finally, I come back with colors.
