MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
My jewelry consists of handmade heishi beads. All of my beads are made from turquoise, seashell or other natural stones. The stones are cut by hand utilizing a lapidary saw and blade. The stones are then chipped by hand with a wire nipper. Each piece is drilled by hand with a dremel drill. The drilled pieces are strung on steel wire by size. The strung pieces are shaped on a lapidary grinding wheel. The shaped beads on wire are hand polished with various grits of sanding belts. The semi polished wire strung beads are put through a 2 step buffing polish. The polished beads are strung ( beading wire or string) and finished with sterling silver findings.
