MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
I am an oil painter. The tools I use are gamblin oil paints (primary colors), bristle brushes, canvas panels, gamsole, paper towels, easel, varnish and proper lighting. I gesso the entire canvas panel before I begin painting. This allows the canvas to hold the oil paints properly. I then tone down the whole canvas to help me better judge my values. I use the alla prima method, it's a process where I complete the whole painting in a sitting, or while the paint is still wet. The fat over lean method allows me to paint over wet paint in this technique. This type of technique allows me to be engaged in the whole process from start to finish.
