MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
I am a self taught silversmith that uses sterling silver and a variety of semi-precious stones, gemstones, and shells. All of the silver is hand formed from different gauges of plate and wires. All the stamp work is hand stamped. All the cutting is done with a coping saw and a fine tooth saw blade. All the soldering is done with wire solder and flux. The stones are precisely cut and sanded to fit a mosaic design representing symbols from our Zuni culture and history, then sanded down to fit the silver housing. The stones are sanded and polished. Once completed each piece is buffed and polished to a mirror shine.
