Hopi (Sun) Dawa is a Native American hand woven wall decor that is a circular representation of Mother Earth. The Dawa has a wooden centerpiece that is cut, sanded, drilled and painted. The wooden frame if put together with wooden dowels and hand woven with yarn to create designs in earthtone and rainbow colors. The traditional Hopi belt and cape are woven with designs that represent the sky, eagle feathers, mountains, plants and the rainbow of life. White, grey and blue blends are for clouds. Other blends of colors are for when the sun is rising in the mornings or setting in the evening.
