MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
I basically use cottonwood root. Everything hand carved. Materials I use are; leather, feathers natural pigments/ clay, wool, shells, Moss sterling silver. All my silver work done with tufa casting. I create intricate bowguards, conchos and pendants for my dolls. My style of work is incorporating early 80s style of dolls and the tradional old style using natural pigments. Every details of my dolls are basically how you would see the dancers and their regalia. I try to get every small details down best to my abilities. Other than that, last year I took 1st and honorable mention in Pueblo Wood carver category.
