MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
I mainly construct my vessels commercial clays and glazes, and have lately been working with wild clay I gather and process here in the Mojave Desert. And plan to be completely transitioned to this clay very soon. I hand build all of my work from rolled slabs whos forms are based from past instruction and work I have done in earth building techniques and traditional brick making both here in the US and in Portugal. I work with glazed high fire stoneware and unglazed terracotta. Most pieces at this moment are kiln fired until my wood fired kiln is completed and tuned. Then all pieces will be wood fired.
