ABOUT THE GIFF

GET INDIGENOUS FILM FESTIVAL (GIFF)

MISSION – The Get Indigenous Film Festival (GIFF) seeks to honor Native American and Indigenous film and television content-creators by providing a place for those individuals to exhibit, network, and to hear from the public about their works. 

The GIFF also provides panels, workshops and educational-programs, for Native American and Indigenous film and television content-creators year round in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

VISION – “To provide every Native American and Indigenous film and television artist a voice, through the medium of our time.”

An invitation-only soft launch of GIFF, happening during our 101st Santa Fe Indian Market week, will show screenings of:

  • Lakota Nation vs. United States
  • FX’s Reservation Dogs (S3 E1)
  • AMC’s Dark Winds (S2 E1)

This lively invitation-only afterparty includes a live DJ, heavy tasting menu, local beers, and crafted cocktails.

INDIGENOUS FILM AND TELEVISION CONTENT CREATION

To conclude this week’s GIFF programming, we will hold a panel discussion by notable film and television content creators to discuss Indigenous content today and for the future. Panelists will discuss where Indigenous film and Tv is heading as a movement and what are their personal-insights for longevity in this industry? Attendance to this event is by invitation only.
