MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Rugs are made from shearing sheep. Wool is then carted and handspun into skeens of wool. A warp is then set up and designs are put in by counting the threads left to right. Colored wool is dyed by using natural plants and indigo dyes to achieve the desired color. Depending g on the size of the rug it can take anywhere from one month to 8 months to complete one rug.
