MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Each hat is beaded with medium weight nylon string with various sizes of seed beads, bugle beads, charlotte cut and tri-cut beads. Rows of beads are carefully laid side by side to complete the design. Hat bands are rope beaded around bungy cord and the ties are made with micro suede/tanned hide that are cut to length. Some hats have applique beadwork sewn on top or on the side of the hat for more artistry. Applique beadwork is completed on stiff felt that is first sketched and colored for patterns.
