MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
Baskets are weaved with sweetgrass and black ash splint using traditional techniques. The splint was dyed with commercial dyes. I create beadwork on velveteen fabric and leather using glass seed beads and nylon thread. I use raised and flat beadwork techniques. I like to create modern versions of classic raised bead work picture frames and pin cushions that were popular in the early 1900s. I also like to create jewelry using seed beads.
