MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE:
The materials used are traditional Acoma clay,gourds and wooden scraping tools. Rain water and wild spinach and hematite are used for black paint. Yucca stems for painting brushes. Pottery is all handmade with traditional Acoma clay, painted with yucca brushes. Firing is all done outdoor sand kilm. Designs are all handed down from family painters and are unique.
