My work challenges the stereotypes of what Native American jewelry is thought to be, with its design elements and means of making. My work continues the organic interpretations as demonstrated by my Woodland Nations with their beadwork and appliqué designs. Some works are crafted using a jeweler's saw, files and soldering; yet to push past stereotypes & explore artistic possibilities I also employ CAD (three-dimensional design software) to create my designs, print them via a 3D printer to then be put through the lost-wax casting process. With each process being done by myself. Works are primarily crafted in sterling silver or gold, but at times are also made of wood, leather and/or acrylic.
