More about Lloyd Kiva New

One of the first Native North American designers to create a successful high-fashion brand, New launched Lloyd Kiva Design Associates in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the 1950s— helping to establish the city as a high-end art and fashion destination. New became the Art Director of the Institute of American Indian Arts in 1961, where he taught his textile design process and techniques to students, encouraging them to experiment.
